„The light that memory lends to things” is a collection of fragmentary stories found on a train journey from Ankara to Tehran.
The Trans-Asia train carries fragmentary stories. A family talks about the rain and the wind, friendship and justice. A mathematics teacher speaks about the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution and a little girl tells an altered version of Hansel and Gretel. In this enclosed universe, the filmmaker, who doesn’t understand Persian, the language of her fellow travellers, records her journey.
